  • 2 oz. añejo rum

Directions

Combine ingredients over ice, stir. Substitute Falernum for the mole bitters to create the Spice Trade.

After a quick intro, things get started with the brand new Updates segment!  Truth be told it’s not really all that different from how we normally open the show, but hey, new sound effect!

GJ christens our newest feature in proper fashion by announcing that he has no updates, so it’s up to Nick to bring up nice lesbians and questionable dotcom facial tattoos.  Geej redeems himself in the end by remembering that he wanted to talk about “link spam”.

Was it worth it man? Yeesh.

Then it’s on to ‘Whatcha Drinkin?!’  This time, GJ has whipped up a “powerful” concoction known as the East India.  It’s bitter, complicated flavor reminds Nick of molasses but the actual key ingredients turn out to be mole bitters and a spicy Italian liqueur called amaro.  Special 2-for-1 this time, as swapping Falernum for the mole bitters gives you a variation known as the Spice Trade.  They’re potent and bitter, sure, but sometimes the day calls for cocktails such as these!

It’s a free for all episode this time.  Nick and GJ scour their notebooks and bring us a wild array of topics.  From sci-fi to salads to the supa dupa flow, the boys leave no stone unturned!  Highlights include:

Okay, Star Trek MAY have predicted the iPad.

ALSO

  • GJ has heard rumors that he’s a dick
  • Sci-fi films never accurately predict the future when it comes to technology

PLUS

  • Nick didn’t think he’d be in the awkward position of defending Nicki Minaj

Next is Watcha Watchin?! GJ saw ‘Empire Records’, ‘Minority Report’, ‘Rushmore’, ‘Freaks and Geeks’, and ‘Crumb’.  Nick wants to have a little chat about ‘Breaking Bad’.

The cover is ‘Nothing’s Gonna Stop Me Now’ AKA the theme song to “Perfect Strangers”.
